Kaiela Institute and the Goulburn Murray Regional Prosperity and Productivity Plan (GMRPPP)

The GMRPPP is a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing economic opportunities for Yorta Yorta and First Nations communities in the Goulburn Murray region. By fostering collaboration between First Nations businesses, local organisations, and industry leaders, the project drives procurement, employment, and business growth while promoting cultural integrity and long-term sustainability. .

Facilitated Traditional Owner engagement workshops for the Victorian Waterway Management Strategy, successfully integrating cultural perspectives into waterway planning and management.

DEECA

Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation

Led member engagement workshops for strategies including Economic Development, Connecting to Country and Housing.

Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations

Conducting Aboriginal community engagement and producing a report to inform the EMV Aboriginal self-determined strategy.

Development and implementation of a Cultural Burn Project in partnership with the Bunurong Land Council. This initiative involved extensive planning, collaboration, and on-ground execution to restore traditional land management practices, enhance biodiversity, and support cultural heritage preservation. The project also focused on knowledge sharing between Traditional Owners and broader community stakeholders, fostering a deeper understanding of the significance of cultural burns in sustainable land care

Supported the start-up and growth of First Nations businesses by offering guidance on resources such as Indigenous Procurement Policies, enabling them to capitalise on tender opportunities. Facilitated connections between suppliers and buyers, fostering meaningful engagement with First Nations businesses.

Traditional Owner Engagement and Economic Development

Supported Traditional Owner Corporations to advance economic development and workforce strategies, capability and capacity by creating mutually beneficial partnerships with government industry, private sectors and local councils. Facilitated their participation in regional projects, organisational growth, workforce planning, and the establishment of commercial partnerships.
